It is the belief of Orthotic and Prosthetic Solutions that in order to have the best chance of recovery one must have their support system intact and close at hand. With that premise and the confidence in the medical community in Lincoln Nebraska we have innitiated discussions with many legislators in an attempt to bring our wounded soldiers back home. A meeting with Joe Britton, Senator Ben Nelson's medical policy liason produced many ideas and offered a link to Washington DC in our mission. We believe that through repeated conversations and interaction with members of Congress that we can bring amputees home sooner.
Eric Hammerschmidt and Eric Bjorkman are planning to attend a 20/20 focus group later this year as a group of experts will meet to determine a good policy for getting our soldiers home quicker.
